A refrigerated terminal for fish products was opened in Primorye

A new terminal for chilled products has been launched at the Sukhoy Port in Primorsky Territory, according to the official website of the regional government. Regional Governor Oleg Kozhemyako attended the opening ceremony.

The construction of the terminal was performed by Akva-Resurs group of companies. The volume of storage will make 15 thousand cubic meters. An automated shuttle system for palletized cargo movement has been installed here, which is unique for the entire Primorsky Territory. It allows to use the warehouse space efficiently and safely.

The new complex will help Far Eastern fishermen with the shipment of products to consumers and will create over a hundred new jobs in the municipality, Kozhemyako said.

He said that the region has experienced difficulties with the storage of fish products during the pandemic. The launch of the new terminal, according to him, was the first step in the development of this area.

As Ruslan Kondratov, president of the group of companies "Aqua-Resources" said, the construction of the complex took half a year. "This "refrigerator" is the first stage of the project. The other stages, providing for deep processing of products, we will build by 2024", - he specified.

The Dry Port transport and logistics center was established in 2013 for long-term storage of general cargo of various types, soft containers, any type of metal, large-tonnage dry and refrigerated containers. Now the port can accommodate and connect up to 100 reefer containers, up to one thousand 40-foot containers, six thousand tons of fish products in closed warehouses and up to 18 thousand tons of general cargo in open warehouses at a time.
