Russian and Kazakh authorities discussed the traceability of transit cargo

The Rosselkhoznadzor representatives discussed with the Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision under the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan the traceability of livestock products delivered from Belarus via Russia to customers in Kazakhstan, and prevention of illegal importation of products of Belarusian origin into Russia.

According to the Rosselkhoznadzor, the Russian authorities are concerned about the lack of electronic notification of the Veterinary Service of Kazakhstan on the goods, transiting Russia from Belarus to the Kazakh recipients.

"The electronic notification system, which implies their cancellation after the arrival of cargo at the final point of destination, is designed to ensure the traceability of transit products and deprive unscrupulous participants of foreign economic activity of the possibility of false transit," reads the message on the website of the Ministry.

Fulfillment of all these conditions is important to ensure transparent and safe trade within the Eurasian Economic Union, added in Rosselsoznadzor.

The result of the negotiations was an agreement to carry out selective control of transported goods.

Rosselkhoznadzor controls the movement of goods in transit through Russia.

Kazakhstan indicated that in case of failure to confirm the delivery of goods, information about such recipients will be promptly directed to Rosselkhoznadzor for further action.
