Russian carmaker Avtovaz has announced the launch of serial assembly of LADA cars jointly with Roodell in Uzbekistan, the company's press service said.

The first produced Vesta SW/SW Cross, XRAY Cross and LADA Largus/Largus Cross cars are ready to be shipped to the LADA dealer network. The assembly of LADA cars is organized at the new plant Dzhizak-ADM, located in Dzhizak free economic zone in Uzbekistan.

"Uzbekistan is one of the key export markets for Avtovaz, LADA brand is well known in the republic. New stage of cooperation with Roodell will enable us to support LADA development in the country's market by providing our customers with modern cars and high quality service. The local assembly will make LADA cars more affordable for the customers. In addition, local assembly will expand customer outreach through participation in state procurement in Uzbekistan," the company said.

In 2020, more than 5 thousand LADA cars were sold in Uzbekistan through the Roodell dealer network, which includes 18 dealer centers across the country, Avtovaz specified.
