Employees of the Siberian Research Institute of Plant Industry and Breeding have created a new variety of potato "Sokur". It has been entered in the state register of breeding achievements.

It is a medium-ripening vegetable, its taste qualities are estimated at 8-9 points out of ten.

The starch content reaches 18%. Weight of a marketable tuber is 22 to 80 grams. The features of the new cultivar include productivity in combination with high resistance to the following diseases: Alternaria, crayfish, golden potato nematode. Also "Sokur" can be stored and is drought resistant.

The economic effect of potatoes can be achieved due to the yield, early maturity, high marketability, excellent taste and technological qualities.
