The Russian Ministry of Health has authorized clinical trials of the coronavirus vaccine Betuvax-Cov-2, according to the state registry.

Thus, the first and second phases will last until 31 August next year. They will involve 170 volunteers.

The developer is the Institute of Human Stem Cells. Trials will be held on the basis of three medical institutions in Perm, Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Earlier, a subsidiary of the Institute announced that the drug consists of nanoparticles imitating a virus but unable to infect mammals.
