In the Komi Republic in the territory of advanced socio-economic development (ASED) "Yemva" in the next three years it is planned to create a wood processing plant and a tree nursery with a capacity up to 15 million seedlings per year. This was reported by Elmira Akhmeeva, the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the region and Minister of Economic Development and Industry.

According to TASS, the plant will be built in 2022-2023. It will be capable of processing up to 20 thousand cubic meters of sawn timber a year, and up to 10 thousand cubic meters of sawn timber.

There are plans to invest 75 million roubles in the construction. In future the production of fuel pellets could be organized at the new enterprise.

Moreover, a tree nursery plant with the capacity up to 15 million seedlings of pine, spruce, larch, cedar, and fir trees is planned to be established in "Yemva".

Total investments are estimated to amount to 371 million roubles, and 40 new jobs will be created.
