The Stavropol Territory has increased exports of canned chicken and beef by 40%, according to the website of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture. As of today, the region supplies these products to six countries.

"Since the beginning of 2021, exports of canned meat amounted to $2.6 million, or 1.8 thousand tons of products. This is 40% more than last year," said Dmitry Frolko, deputy head of the regional agricultural agency.

The main buyer of canned chicken was Tajikistan, and beef - South Ossetia. Products were also sent to Abkhazia, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.

The main supplier is Novoalexandrovsky meat processing plant Yugrosprom, which produces about 200 types of meat products. The company has already signed contracts with Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Georgia for supplies of canned beef.
