The State Duma of Russia has adopted the law "Electronic document circulation in the field of labour relations" in the third reading. Thanks to it, it will become possible to execute work-related documents electronically without duplicating them on paper.

"Adoption of the bill will allow them to quickly obtain state, municipal, banking and other services, where required data from the employer - the necessary information can be requested through the information system", - says the State Duma.

Thus, a job seeker will be able to find an employer from another region, have a remote interview and enter into an employment contract. In addition, employees will be able to sign documents submitted by them or intended for them by electronic signature without going to the personnel department and have quick access to the necessary documentation.

It is assumed that electronic document flow will be carried out through the "Work in Russia" unified digital platform, the State Services Portal and the employer's information system. It is planned to use an enhanced qualified electronic signature when signing electronic documents.

Employers are obliged to notify employees of the introduction of electronic document management and employees have the right to refuse it. Besides, a collective agreement may stipulate that an employer may extend electronic document management to all employees if more than 50% of them agree to the switch to this system.
