Meat exports from Russia increased by 30% year-on-year

In the first 11 months of 2021, Russia exported $1.02 billion worth of meat. According to the federal center "Agroexport" under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, this is 30% higher than the figure for the same period in 2020.

"From January 1 to December 5, 2021, Russia shipped $1.02 billion worth of various categories of meat to foreign markets, a 30% increase over the same period in 2020. In physical terms, the volume of shipments increased by 2.2% and reached 469 thousand tons," the report says.

It is noted that 46% of export revenues accounted for poultry, 34% - pork and 19% - beef. Exports of poultry meat for the period under review rose by 19% to $464 million, pork - by 19%, to $348 million, beef - 2.7 times, to $191 million.

The geography of supplies was 65 countries. The top 5 importers include China, Vietnam, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia and Belarus.
