Adviser to the Russian President Anton Kobyakov held a meeting in Moscow with Egyptian Ambassador to the Russian Federation Nazih Naggari, during which they discussed the development of trade and economic cooperation, holding events in Russia and Egypt and Egypt's participation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in the honorary status of a guest country in 2022. This was reported on the Roscongress website.

"In recent years, relations between our countries have continued to develop dynamically in a full range of areas. They are based on a long history of working together and the principles of friendship and trust. An intensive dialogue is conducted at the level of heads of ministries and departments of Russia and Egypt. Moreover, the importance of such contacts increases even more in conditions of the overall fight against the pandemic," Kobyakov said.

The meeting also touched upon Egypt's participation in the forthcoming St. Petersburg International Economic Forum to be held on June 15-18 of next year.

As Naggari noted, this format will strengthen cooperation between the two countries in all sectors, as well as present the investment and tourism potential of Egypt. "At the moment, together with the organizers, we are developing a set of events of both business and cultural programs," he said.
