In Russia in 2021, 36.8% of small entrepreneurs were thinking about closing their business. This data was published in a new study of the developer of CRM for SME business "Megaplan".

It is noted that among those who have thought about closing their business, 18.4% are not yet ready to implement it, 10.6% are planning to close the entire business, and 7.8% are planning to close a part of the business in the near future. However, more than half of the executives surveyed had no such thoughts, and 2.8% will close their business in 2021.

The survey also showed that another 35.5% of respondents for reasons of economy thought about reducing the number of employees, and another 10% were forced to lay off some employees.

At the same time, 48.6% of executives in 2021 thought to open a new business or a new direction, not to lose profits, the survey showed. At the same time, 14.9% opened new companies alongside their main business.
