Trade between Moscow and Latin American countries increased to 2.8 billion dollars
In the first nine months of 2021, Moscow increased trade with Latin American countries to 2.81 billion dollars. According to the Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Yefimov, the growth was 56.5%.
"The results of January-September 2021 showed that Moscow accounted for 19.7% of Russia's trade turnover with Latin America. Leaders in trade turnover with Moscow are Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, Argentina and Puerto Rico. These five countries alone account for more than 77% of the capital's trade turnover, "- he said.
In particular, there has been an increase of supplies of diagnostic reagents ($1.18 million), detergents ($0.53 million) and plastics and plastic products ($6.85 million).
Moreover, countries began to buy more agricultural products, such as finished meat and fish products, chocolates, sugar and sugar products. The increase was 15.5%, 36.6% and 111.7% respectively.
