Rusprodexport has signed a cooperation agreement with Chinese partners at the 2019 Shanghai Expo.

Rusprodexport, a Russian company producing, distributing and exporting healthy and dietary food products, took part in the SIAL China international food exhibition in Shanghai in 2019. Performing under the auspices of the Russian Export Center (REC), Rusprodexport presented its products to Chinese entrepreneurs and entered into a supply agreement.

"This is not the first year Rusprodexport has taken part in SIAL in Shanghai, but this year we observed a particularly active negotiation process between the companies. We also signed a contract for the supply of products that we produce: muesli, cereal, granola and other ready-made breakfast cereals and porridges to the Chinese market. The contract amount was half a million dollars. Cooperation with numerous partners, both in Russia and abroad, in particular China, forms a platform necessary for our business and gives new opportunities for development," said the representative of the company.

The agreement was signed with one of the Chinese distribution companies in order to jointly develop a new product from the original formulation, package design, which will be understandable and attractive to the target audience, and will promote this product in the international markets, particularly in China.

In addition to meeting new partners, participation in an exhibition of this scale helped the company to identify as clearly as possible its target audience in China, to introduce its products to them and create mutually beneficial contacts with Chinese partners.

The Russian products presented at the exhibition aroused great interest among the forum guests, who included not only professionals but also ordinary visitors interested in the latest trends in the food industry. The stands of the Russian companies were constantly surrounded by the Chinese visitors, who were looking at the colorful decoration of the pavilion with curiosity, and were interested in the features of the presented products and were tasting the offered samples of products.

"By creating a favorable impression of the Russian food products in particular, as well as of the Russian business community in general and responsibly relating to bilateral relations between the countries, Rusprodexport has established itself as a reliable partner both for international companies and for Russian producers and suppliers. Rusprodexport is involved both in the production and supply of food products from Russia," the company said.

About the show

SIAL China is the leading food exhibition in Asia and one of the world's largest exhibitions held for almost 20 years.

The main players in retail, HoReCa, trade, manufacturing and services in the food industry register for SIAL Shanghai. The exhibition sets the benchmark for foreign companies entering the Asian market and provides valuable information on trends and innovations in the regional food industry, especially in meat, dairy and beverages. In addition, SIAL helps professionals see the main trends of the year, exchange knowledge and experiences with colleagues from more than 200 countries and establish cooperation with Asian companies.

This year within the framework of the exhibition Russia has opened a joint pavilion of Russian exporters. Sergey Inyushin, the Russian Trade Representative to China, who opened the Russian exposition, noted that the Russian-Chinese relations have been developing steadily lately. In his address, which was read during the exhibition, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia in China Andrei Denisov noted that the products of the agricultural sector in general and food products in particular represent a promising and rapidly growing niche of mutual Russian-Chinese trade.

As Andrey Denisov noted, Russian food exports to China increased by 42.2% in 2018 and reached $2.52 billion.

For his part, Russian trade representative to China Sergey Inyushin noted that Russian-Chinese relations have been developing at a stable pace lately.

According to him, the trade turnover between the countries exceeded $107 billion in 2018.

"This is a very big figure, and I would say that this is a historic mark that we have jointly crossed. I am pleased to note that it was the supply of Russian food and agricultural products that played a very important role and a big contribution in this figure," he stressed.

The business program of the Russian pavilion, in addition to direct negotiations between Russian and Chinese companies, was full of presentations and seminars on the most relevant issues for promoting Russian exports. All this contributed to the fact that the Russian companies who came to the exhibition had an opportunity to find partners not only in China, but also practically in all corners of the world.
